At Alternatilla Jazz we want to promote bridges of artistic and creative collaboration between our local musicians and guest bands and performers from other countries. With the ménage à jazz concerts, our trademark, we achieve one of the main objectives of the festival: to take advantage of the exchange and cultural diversity that enables the connection of musicians from different cultures. With these unique live performances, the aim is to unite different ways of understanding jazz while prioritising cultural fusion, hybridisation of styles, instrumental dialogue and the surprise of improvisation.

The first of this year’s ‘ménage à jazz’ events features four musicians: Jorge Pardo, one of the great references of national jazz fusion, Jasper Hoiby, double bass player and composer of Danish origin, who has left an indelible mark on the European jazz scene, the Balearic pianist, Toni Vaquer, one of the most relevant musicians of his generation. Pianist, composer, arranger and big band player and Naima Acuña, the young drummer of Jazz and Modern Music with a great international career, endorsed by international musicians.
