Lorenzo Bisogno Quartet builds up its personality as a group mixing the experiences and life stories of its four components. It’s the sound of contemporary jazz mixed with melodies and the fresh approach of improvisation together with elegant compositions and flawless performances.

The quartet was born when four young music talents from Umbria in Italy got together to play. Their music roots are in the rich jazz tradition, and in their repertoire they combine a reinterpretation of jazz standards with their original songs. Cedar Walton, Billy Strayhorn, Joe Henderson, Kenny Wheeler, to name a few, are some of the composers who have inspired and influenced the group.

The solid rhythm section formed by Manuel Magrini on the piano, Pietro Paris on bass and Lorenzo Brilli on drums create the perfect rhythm fabric and the harmony for the melodies of Lorenzo Bisogno’s tenor sax, who is the recent winner of the prestigious  “Massimo Urbani International Award”. And for their first presentation in Mallorca they will be joined by trumpet player Massimo Morganti.
